About WayUp’s Top 100 Internship Program List

Thousands of companies submitted a nomination to the list and entered information about their programs. A panel of qualified judges then reviewed each submission, while also considering votes from the public. Selection was based 30% on public votes and 70% on the judgement of industry expert panels. This yielded the list of 100 best internship programs in the country.

  • Program orientation and structure

  • Career development for interns

  • Full-time employment prospects

  • Company culture and engagement

About Credera’s Internship Program

Credera’s 10-week summer internship program provides a professionally challenging experience that allows students to immerse themselves in the consulting world. Our top priority is to provide an honest demonstration of Credera’s culture and our consulting engagements so students can fully understand who we are, what we do, and whether they want to join the Credera family, if given the opportunity. Our interns are treated as full-time employees and members of the Credera family as they are staffed on a current client project, invited to all-company events, and participate in our internal professional development and mentorship programs.

What Sets Credera’s Internship Program Apart

Opportunities to Get Involved: Throughout the summer, interns have the opportunity to attend a variety of continuous learning and development events. These are standard all-company events, but interns are encouraged to attend as many Lunch and Learns, special interest group meetings, or public speaking workshops as they want. 

We also have several employee resource groups (ERGs), including Credera Women’s NetworkOPEN Pride Credera, and CredCOLOR. Each ERG aims to connect employees through personal and professional development, while allowing them the opportunity to make an impact on the firm.  Interns are introduced to our ERGs throughout the summer and encouraged to engage with groups that truly pique their interest.

Finally, our interns wanted to connect with each other more than anything, which leads to our final category—intern-only events. To ensure every intern gets the opportunity to meet one another, we assign interns to a different small group each week for a coffee chat with their peers.

Onboarding Peers: All interns are assigned to an onboarding peer. This is a consultant with one to two years of experience who they will likely work very closely with throughout the summer. Each onboarding peer calls their intern the Friday before the program begins to welcome them to Credera and answer any last-minute questions. The onboarding peer continues to support and meet with their intern through the duration of the program (beginning with daily touchpoints and gradually evolving to weekly touchpoints).

Leadership Development Conference: The final few days of Credera’s internship program do not include last-minute work or stressful “here is what I accomplished this summer” presentations, but rather a leadership development conference. Interns from across the nation are invited to Credera’s headquarters in Dallas for an in-person event completely dedicated to developing them as people. Not one panel, presentation, or event within this conference is centered around selling the interns on Credera. Rather, the sessions are uniquely designed to provide interns with tools, resources, and guidance so they can be successful in whatever career path they choose to pursue.
