About the Military Friendly® Employer award
Military Friendly® ratings are owned by Viqtory, Inc., a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Defense or the federal government. The ratings measure organizations’ “commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community.”
Each year, over 1,500 organizations compete for the Military Friendly® designations. Participants complete a proprietary survey and the results are processed by a rules-based algorithm to determine rankings. Companies who earn the Military Friendly® designation meet at least three of 10 benchmarks related to veteran recruiting, hiring, retention, culture, policies, and advancement.
Award finalists are categorized by annual revenue and given the ranks of bronze, silver, gold, or top 10. The silver ranking as earned by Credera for 2024, for example, is awarded to companies who meet the survey benchmark requirements and score within 20% of the top 10 ranking employers in their size category.
