Credera, a global, boutique consulting firm focused on strategy, transformation, data, and technology, is pleased to announce the promotion of Scott Hensley to Credera’s partner team.

Scott joined the firm in 2020 as part of the Management Consulting Practice focused on strategy, operational excellence, and global program delivery. Prior to joining Credera, Scott led a software as a service firm working with large telecommunications and utility providers helping them achieve greater efficiency through improved data management, data visualization, and machine learning. Scott has led numerous engagements across various industries including telecommunications, automotive, hospitality, retail, consumer packaged goods, and professional services.
Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on international business from the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.
Outside of the office, Scott and his wife, Maggie, are certified foster parents who are passionate about advocating for those who can’t advocate for themselves. Scott spends most of his free time coaching or watching his five boys play sports.
We sat down with Scott to learn more about his journey toward joining the Credera partner team:
Q&A With Scott Hensley:
What is your focus at Credera?
My primary focus is on successful delivery for our clients and creating meaningful opportunities for our people. I’m currently leading our work with a global, luxury car manufacturer, which is helping to further Credera’s presence across Europe.
What were you doing prior to joining Credera?
Prior to Credera, I led a software as a service company focused on data and analytics serving the telecommunications and utility industries. Our platform helped our clients garner better customer insights through improved data management, data visualization, and machine learning algorithms. Through that experience, I had the good fortune of being exposed to almost every facet of the business—from accounting and finance to supply chain, collections, and customer experience.
What led to your decision to join?
I believed in the vision of being a global, boutique consulting firm. I was fortunate to have spent time with Justin Bell, our CEO, and was able to hear his vision for where the firm was headed. I knew immediately it was something I wanted to be a part of. Meeting some of the other leaders in the firm only further cemented that desire.
How would you describe your approach to leadership?
I would characterize my approach as one anchored to our core values, where every decision I make leans into those core values to make sure the intent is pure. I believe it is my role to live these out such that others will buy in and want to follow my lead. This means being able to demonstrate humility and integrity when I’ve made a mistake. Owning it, learning from it, and being clear that we’ll get better together. Likewise, approaching all problems focused on delivering excellence and digging in and demonstrating the ability to roll up your sleeves to get the work done.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?
Don’t be afraid to say, “I don’t know.” Clients, peers, and team members will all appreciate the humility in saying you don’t know but you will go work to find the right answer.
What are you most excited about now that you’re a part of the Credera partner team?
I’m really excited to learn from such an exceptionally brilliant group of individuals. It is such a talented group and I know each of them has skills and experiences I can benefit from.
