Generative AI in action: Streamlining processes at Evelyn Partners

In the high-trust world of wealth management, time spent with clients is invaluable. For Evelyn Partners, one of the UK’s leading integrated wealth management service providers, reducing administrative burden became a priority to empower their advisors to focus on what matters most - building strong client relationships. In collaboration with our team, they leveraged generative AI to dramatically accelerate a critical, time-consuming reporting process.

The challenge

Advisors were spending up to eight days preparing structured, complex reports - largely due to the manual effort required to collate and digest data from multiple sources. Just pulling together relevant inputs and understanding them could take three entire days, delaying availability of insights and negatively impacting client engagement. With deeply embedded legacy ways of working and high expectations for output quality and brand tone, the challenge was not just technical, but also cultural.

The solution

We worked closely with Evelyn Partners in a two-phase delivery approach. The first phase was a six-week proof of concept using familiar Azure OpenAI services and Azure AI Foundry tools to build trust and demonstrate value quickly. A core part of the success was engaging directly with report authors - understanding their process, motivations, and what a successful outcome looked like to them.

By translating Evelyn Partners’ complex workflows into AI-driven prompts and integrating with Microsoft's AI ecosystem, we delivered a tool that mimicked their writing style and generated high-quality reports with significantly less effort. For phase two, we pivoted to a fully integrated Microsoft Copilot Studio architecture and built the in-house capability to develop and maintain further generative AI solutions.

The results

The initial implementation led to a reduction in reporting time from eight days to six - a 25% time saving. Early users conservatively estimated 15% efficiency gains in analysis and reporting, with modelling showing potential for up to 40% in future phases. Most notably, colleagues were excited by not just the speed and efficiency gains, but also by the interactive nature of the AI tool, which brought new energy to what was once a tedious task.

When users saw generative AI replicating the Evelyn Partners’ signature tone and style, it was a breakthrough moment. What started as a technology pilot became a transformative experience, proving that generative AI can enhance - not replace - the human element in financial advisory work.
