Using jQuery and WCF To Build A Better User Experience

Jeff Hewitt

Last Saturday I spoke at the Dallas Techfest in Richardson at the University of Texas, Dallas campus.  From all I saw and heard, it appears to have been a successful event.  For my session, not only was it Saturday morning at 9:00 AM, it was also raining.  Dispite this, there were quite a few faithful technologists who made it in.  So thank you to everyone who turned out – I hope it was educational.

My session was entitled Using jQuery and WCF To Build A Better User Experience.  In addition to the topics highlighted in the title, we also looked at jQuery databinding, jQuery templating, jQuery UI and a simple framework for handling the flow of data from the lowest levels of the stack all the way to the presentation on the client.

As promised, here is the presentation, and here is the Visual Studio solution that we looked at during the demonstration.
