Gallup’s research found that only 27% of the workforce resonate with their employer’s values, while LinkedIn’s latest culture report says that 86% of millennials would consider taking a pay cut to work at a company whose mission and values align closer to their own. Whether a pay cut is required or not, the bottom line is shared values matter to job seekers.

In a recent article, Thrive Global, Arianna Huffington’s latest digital publication, advises job seekers on how to find their organizational kindred spirits when it comes to values.

Their advice to job seekers?

1. Look for companies that back their words up with actions.

2. Ask about others’ experiences during the interview process.

3. Use public sites like Glassdoor.

4. Take a look at the organization’s core values and mission statement.
