Garrison’s Story

Two years into Garrison’s time at Credera, he was invited to join a committee focused on Credera’s biannual performance review process.  There were some big names on the call: two long-time partners and the Director of HR.

Credera had recently finished our yearly review cycle, and part of that process included a "partner call" where a Credera partner provided top-level detail to the employee (i.e., salary changes, review score, and whether they were promoted or not). Historically, the employee's direct manager was not part of this call because it contained sensitive salary information. Unfortunately, in cases where an employee's expectations weren’t met, the partner typically didn’t have the context to explain the discrepancy. 

Mustering all of the courage and tact he could, he decided to bring this up to the committee and suggest a new process.  

“I asked them specific questions that helped them see where I was coming from. I saw the realization wash over them, and that moment changed from one of trepidation to excitement: I felt heard! The committee took my feedback and made some significant changes,” Garrison said. “Moments like this have continued during my time at Credera, and it's a testament to our approachable, open, and collaborative leaders.”
