Credera Promotes Phil Lockhart as Partner and Vice President

Credera, a full-service management and technology consulting firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Phil Lockhart as of May 1, 2019.

Phil joined Credera in 2010 as a Manager in the Management Consulting practice. Phil is a world-class leader in the digital and marketing technology arenas. He brings incredible value to his clients by advising and partnering to implement solutions that help them better reach their customers and drive revenue.

Prior to joining Credera, Phil’s experience included: new product innovation, application development, and eCommerce.

As a Vice President, Phil will continue to play an important leadership role as it relates to working with our clients on their digital strategy and implementation and in continuing to develop other Credera leaders in this space.

We sat down with Phil for a quick Q&A:

What led to your decision to join Credera?

It was an easy decision. I had the opportunity to work directly with Credera prior to joining. I was incredibly impressed with the people – the strong work ethic, anything’s possible attitude, and watching the team live out their core values of professionalism, excellence, integrity, and humility throughout the course of the project, even when it wasn’t easy.

Favorite Credera memory?

This relates to Credera’s values and giving back to communities during a company trip in Mexico.  We had a competitive team building activity that started with an obstacle course that involved challenges to gather different bike parts. We figured out along the way that these parts needed to be assembled in order to complete the challenge and the first team to finish won.  I’ve never seen bikes assembled so quickly! Then there was a twist that made this challenge very real. The CEO of Credera led out a large group of children from a nearby rural community to receive the bikes. Each child had been selected because of some outstanding achievement.   Some had never had a bike before and the excitement on their faces was unreal. It was also unreal how quickly each team immediately started fixing their bikes – checking brakes and tightening pedals because this was no longer about winning the challenge but about building a bike for a very deserving and excited child.

How would you describe your approach to leadership?

Lead by example and be in the trenches but provide autonomy for the team to grow and work on their own. I believe that on-the-spot coaching and celebrating success with specific and individual praise is necessary for personal and professional growth.

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?

Success is a team sport achieved by focusing on doing the simple and small things with unwavering consistency and discipline.

What are you passionate about outside of the office?

Family. I’m in a really fun stage in life with a five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter with incredible support from my amazing wife. They ensure each day is different and filled with laughter and lots of surprises.

What are you most excited about as Credera continues to grow?

The opportunity to grow and learn in new ways with the company. We are helping our clients solve increasingly complex types of problems, requiring continuous personal development.
