Credera, a full-service management and technology consulting firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Lu Truong to Credera’s leadership team as a partner in the Dallas office. At Credera, Lu will initially focus on delivery and client engagements, but will also spend time creating opportunities to build and grow the firm.

"We had the opportunity to work with Lu as our client several years ago and saw the impact he had on their business, but more importantly the impact he had on his team and everyone that worked with him. Lu brings a strong background in digital, from a technology, business, and organizational perspective. He is a great addition to our company and our culture."
Prior to joining Credera, Lu worked in consulting for a year out of college with Arthur Andersen, then transitioned to working for Southwest Airlines for 15 years where he became a director over digital delivery and planning. Before joining Credera, Lu worked as a senior client partner for the digital technology company, Globant, where he worked with large- and medium-sized companies to define and deliver technology solutions in Seattle.
He got his start after graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in management information systems. He enjoys watching sports (football, basketball, and F1 racing), reading, learning new technology, supporting and serving his church and community group, going to the movies and concerts, traveling, and spending time with his family, friends, and puppy.
We sat down with Lu to learn more about his journey to Credera:
What led to your decision to join Credera?
I was looking for a company that had integrity, strong core values, and really treated their employees and clients well. I was also looking for a company that wasn’t afraid to take risks and still had an entrepreneurial spirit. I had worked with Credera during my time at Southwest Airlines and after talking to Justin Bell and Scott Covington about where the company was going and the current culture, I knew this was the place for me.
How would you describe your approach to leadership?
I believe as a leader, at the core, you have to be consistent with your values, have integrity, and build trust with your teams. I love to understand what is important to people and discover how we can work together to give them opportunities to learn, stretch, and take risks.
I greatly enjoy watching my team members grow and realize potential they may not have considered possible before. I think setting high standards for myself and the team while giving them the room and autonomy to execute with a clear focus on serving others is crucial in building a strong organization and culture.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?
One of the best lessons I’ve learned is to live in the moment and enjoy what you’re doing and who you’re interacting with that day. Working long hours can sometimes create tunnel vision, but learning to look for opportunities each day to make a positive impact in someone else’s life is a great way to balance the work and re-center.
What are you most excited about now that you’re a part of the Credera team?
This is such an incredible time for Credera. I’m excited to build upon the success we’ve accomplished before my time and contribute to our future growth as a global, boutique consulting firm that our people can continue to feel proud of going into 2021 and beyond.
