Credera, a global, boutique consulting firm focused on strategy, transformation, data, and technology, is thrilled to announce the addition of Steve Ackert to Credera’s partner team. Steve brings over 25 years of experience in industry and consulting, and will initially be focused on activating and growing Credera’s San Francisco Bay Area client base.

Prior to Credera, Steve was a leader at two global consulting firms and a Fortune 250 company where he held roles in management, sales, and technology strategy and transformation development and execution.
He has had the opportunity to partner with technology, media, and telecommunications clients to help them define their strategies, execute vision, and realize business impacts. Steve has also led an array of client engagements focused on digital transformation, go-to-market strategies and routes-to-market development, customer segmentation, CRM implementations and replatforms, organizational design, and data consolidation and business insights for global clients spanning the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with focuses on Finance and Economics from the University of Montana. He enjoys cycling, hiking, skiing, travelling, and eating his way around the world with his wife, Celeste, and their son, Ashton.
We sat down with Steve to learn more about his journey to Credera:
Q&A With Steve Ackert:
What were you doing prior to joining Credera?
Before joining Credera, I spent 15+ years in industry where I was for all intents and purposes an internal consultant helping with go to market strategy, product innovation and introduction, and post-acquisition integrations. From there I moved to PwC as a GTM strategy and customer effectiveness consultant in their Tech practice focusing on clients migrating to SaaS and XaaS offerings. After PwC, I joined Slalom Consulting so I could spend more time at home with my family and son during his most formative years. During that time, I had the pleasure working as the global client leader for a large tech company, leveraging capabilities ranging from strategy, customer effectiveness, MarTech, data engineering and analytics, and CRM technology to help them grow and scale.
What led to your decision to join?
A few reasons made Credera a clear choice for me.
Being a part of a global, boutique consulting firm resonated with me as it not only represents our ability to deliver impactful insights and results for our clients, but also how we show up for our people and nurture our culture.
We are also experiencing significant growth and I am excited to build on that growth by bringing the Credera experience to our San Francisco Bay Area clients.

How would you describe your approach to leadership?
Inclusivity. We exist in an incredibly complex world; surrounded by varied opinions, conscious and unconscious bias, and cultural backgrounds. In order to produce our best work that delivers value and impact, I strive to ensure that all have the opportunity to be heard and that different perspectives are sought, not just considered.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your careers so far?
Build and grow relationships that align to who you are and who you aspire to be. Time is fixed (currently and probably debatable) and I like to keep it simple in both my personal and professional life. Invest time into people that you can help grow, support your own growth and learning, and will benefit from your guidance. It’s amazing what catalyzes when you get these ingredients right.
What are you most excited about now that you’re a part of the Credera team?
I am most excited about the growth opportunity that we have in the San Francisco Bay Area. This opportunity will not only come in the form of the types of clients that we will be working with, but also the range of exciting programs and projects for Credera and our people. I am constantly amazed at the transformative and ambitious efforts that are taking place by our clients on the West Coast. It is incredible to be part of their journey and it energizes me every day.
