We sat down with Ben to learn more about his journey to Credera.
Q&A With Ben Rhodes:
What were you doing prior to joining Credera?
Prior to Credera, I spent just shy of 16 years with Accenture traveling the world. I “grew up” as a wireless and network practice leader working on wireless and mobility startups from strategy to operations (i.e., the entire business lifecycle) accompanied by a smattering of fun technical and complex network and omni-channel digital programs at wireless carriers across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions.
I then shifted into more client lead roles where I eventually joined Slalom Consulting to spend more time at home with family and clients in the Bay Area working exclusively with global technology companies. I’ve had the fortunate opportunity to work on nearly every type of consulting and managed services engagements to drive impact—from strategy and operations to business process to digital transformation to data engineering, data science and data visualization to customer strategy, CRM, and MarTech to…too many to list!
What led to your decision to join Credera?
A unique opportunity to grow people and make an impact for Bay Area companies that are changing the world every day. To do this, my job will be to bring out the best of an exponentially growing firm of like-minded and talented folks at Credera and Omnicom agency partners. I love the boutique feel of Credera backed by Omnicom, a Fortune 200 company. It’s such a fantastic opportunity for Credera team members to lead significant world-impacting changes for good with our most impactful clients and Omincom agencies around the world!
How would you describe your approach to leadership?
In short, people first. People are what makes the world go around—our people and our clients. People drive change, innovation, growth, our next generation of doers and leaders, belonging, and so much more.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your careers so far?
Oh dear, this is an interesting question. I’d like to say “don’t sweat the small stuff” but many times details matter. Perhaps it relates to my two favorite words, “focus” and “accountability.” I believe people are at the heart of how we work and when we enable them to be focused on the mission and outcome they feel accountable to, it drives the excellence, integrity, and tenacity to deliver impactful results.
What are you most excited about now that you’re a part of the Credera team?
In a word, opportunity! I, like many, am at my best when I create moments that matter for people (clients and our people). I think we have a wonderful opportunity to do this in the Bay Area, the West/Best Coast, and globally!
