Credera, a global, boutique consulting firm focused on strategy, innovation, data, and technology, is pleased to announce the promotion of Aaron Grotzinger to Credera’s partner team.

Aaron joined Credera as a senior consultant in 2016 in our Houston office, where he now leads our Houston market and is responsible for client delivery and engagement. His consulting experience is focused primarily in executing business-to-business and business-to-consumer digital transformation, portfolio management, product design, software selection, and business process improvement. Aaron has led numerous engagements in the oil and gas, retail energy, utilities, transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, and technology industries.
Prior to joining Credera, Aaron worked at Enaxis Consulting and Deloitte Consulting. Aaron received his Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and business honors from Texas A&M University.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoys working out, mentoring newlywed couples with his wife Chris Ann at Houston’s First Baptist Church, and spending time with his son, Harris, and daughter, Annie.
We sat down with Aaron to learn more about his journey toward joining the Credera partner team.
Q&A With Aaron Grotzinger:
What are you focusing on now that you’re a partner at Credera?
Leading operations, culture engagement, and business development within our Houston office as well as building our broader global utility industry vertical. Overall, I’ll be working to develop and scale leaders in our firm to create impact.
What led to your decision to join originally?
I joined Credera back in 2016 because I saw that Credera provided a way to work on strategic client projects without traveling every week. I was also drawn to the ample opportunities to mentor and lead junior team members. The personal career growth opportunities paired with a great company culture focused on impact and leadership made the decision extremely easy.
How would you describe your approach to leadership?
My goal as a leader is to serve and equip. Serving means to come alongside and roll up my sleeves to do whatever task is necessary for the team. Equipping means providing thorough coaching and day-in-the-life training. I want to make sure my team members feel empowered to drive ahead, while also knowing they have air cover and support for any roadblocks that come our way.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?
My first mentor in consulting told me that consulting is first and foremost about going on a journey with people and that project outcomes and deliverables are secondary. I’ve held on to that advice and found that it really is about developing relationships with people and forming partnerships. Initiatives and roadmaps will change, but helping people achieve outcomes they never thought possible, and helping them advance in their careers as a result, are truly the moments that matter.
What are you most excited about now that you’re part of the Credera partner team?
It is hard to pin down to one answer. What excites me is being able to mentor and equip the talented people we have in Houston and supporting them in driving impact for our clients and community. I’m also excited to build upon the great local office culture we have in Houston and helping to ensure that every team member feels known, valued, and empowered.
