Credera Named to Houston Business Journal’s Best Place to Work List

On Thursday, October 22, Credera was honored by The Houston Business Journal (HBJ) as a Best Place to Work. Credera’s Houston office was ranked as #7 in the medium company category. This is the fifth consecutive year that Credera has received this distinguished honor.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Houston especially amidst the pandemic,” said Kevin McDonald, Managing Partner, Credera. “It was really important for us to focus on maintaining connections, caring for one another, and preserving our family culture in this new virtual world and through significant firm growth.”

“Being acknowledged as one of the Best Places to Work in Houston is humbling. Our culture is special to us and we intentionally strive to protect and enhance connections with one another, especially as we continued to grow in 2020 and navigated this unique year," shares Sandra Beno, Partner at Credera. "We ask curious questions and celebrate listening to the variety of voices and diverse experiences represented through our colleagues. We put thought and effort into personal and professional growth, relationships that extend to include our clients, and making an impact in our communities. Our people make Credera amazing.”

The Best Places to Work program highlights organizations in the Houston community that rank high in 10 core areas of employee engagement: teamwork, retention, alignment with goals, trust with coworkers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, job satisfaction, and benefits.

To be nominated, an organization must have at least 10 employees in the Houston Metro area. Employees of all nominated organizations complete an anonymous, confidential survey conducted by Quantum Workplace. Employees are asked to evaluate their companies in specific categories and to respond honestly to open-ended questions. Based on survey results, companies receive scores up to 100 from Quantum. This year, Credera scored a 93.11 based on employee feedback.

More on the top companies can be found in The Houston Business Journal’s November special publication, available to HBJ print and digital subscribers .
