At its October firm-wide meeting, Credera officially launched OPEN Pride Credera (OPC), a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) employee resource and inclusion advocacy group. OPC seeks to foster an inclusive and engaging work environment for Credera’s LGBT+ community and create alliances with other OPEN Pride chapters and OPEN diversity groups. OPC will work closely with Credera’s existing Diversity & Inclusion Committee as well as the Credera Women’s Network (CWN) to improve minority opportunities and inclusion efforts throughout the firm. A major initial focus of OPC is to raise awareness about the importance of allyship and being your authentic self in the workplace. Other planned initiatives include: inclusive leadership training, general activism, and LGBT+-oriented community service.
OPC is part of the Omnicom Professional Employee Network’s Pride group, which aims to fuel the personal growth, organizational inclusion, and business success of Omnicom Group’s LGBT+ employees and allies. OPEN Pride is dedicated to promoting acceptance and advocacy; creating opportunities for leadership, visibility, community involvement, networking, and business. Joe Pfeifer, an OPC leader, said, “It makes me a very proud Crederian to see the progress made to boost diversity and inclusion efforts in the firm over the past 3 years—the launch of OPC is a major milestone for us. I look forward to OPC and other grassroots efforts that continue to make Credera a great place to work for all.”
OPC is currently led by Jay Hover, Joe Pfeifer, Ellie Miller, Michael Grube, Alex Moore, and Taylor Marley with executive sponsorship from Andrew Warden. Membership in OPC is open to Credera employees of all geographies, ethnicities, races, genders, and sexual orientations.
