Credera, a global boutique consulting firm focused on strategy, transformation, data, and technology, is pleased to announce the promotion of Rick Gipson to Credera’s Partner team.

Rick joined Credera in 2010 and has over 20 years of technology leadership experience. He is currently focused on leading strategic client accounts and growing the firm’s Microsoft Solutions practice. Rick is also a member of the Sales and Delivery Executive Committee focused on staffing and resource management. The committee works to align client needs and the career aspirations of Credera staff to build exceptional teams of cross-functional consultants who deliver transformational technology platforms. Recently, his projects have included technology strategy, digital transformation, application modernization, systems integrations, and business process automation.
Prior to joining Credera in 2010, Rick was involved in several early-stage startups and spent nearly 10 years in technology consulting at TEKsystems. Rick graduated from Angelo State University with a bachelor’s degree in management and business administration. He and his wife have been married for over 20 years and share a passion for live sports (especially hockey), traveling the world, and their church family at First Baptist Church Allen.
We sat down with Rick to learn more about his journey to Credera:
What led to your decision to join Credera?
After spending a decade being a hired gun, delivering technology projects across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, I was looking for a smaller company where I could put down roots to really invest in the people and help grow the next generation of leaders.
How would you describe your approach to leadership?
I’m a servant-leader at heart, focusing primarily on the growth and well-being of the people, teams, and clients I have the opportunity to lead.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?
Rome wasn’t built in a day. Whether building a city, digitally transforming an organization, or realizing career aspirations—all require intentionality, strategic planning, and tenacious execution to be successful.
