One of the world’s leading medical device companies with a focus on musculoskeletal products and therapies and approximately $450 million in annual revenue engaged Credera to enable data-driven decision-making. The medical device manufacturer serves patients and surgeons in more than 70 countries by developing, manufacturing, and distributing reconstructive and regenerative spine and extremities solutions. In May 2019, the medical device manufacturer began building an enterprise data warehouse to consolidate data and provide a global view of their business. 

The Solution

Becoming data-driven decision-makers.

Credera provided program leadership for the data warehouse initiative, assessed and implemented a reporting tool, and built executive reports to enable data-driven decision-making. Additional tactics Credera implemented to ensure the medical device manufacture reached their vision included:

  • Evaluated reporting tool options and implementing Microsoft Power BI​.

  • Conducted more than 20 stakeholder interviews to determine reporting needs.​

  • Modeled and developed a global sales dataset for Power BI to provide a complete view of worldwide sales and lay the foundation for future report development, including self-service reporting​.

  • Created a corporate and regional sales portal in Power BI with high-level performance dashboards, detailed trend analysis, and revenue forecasting.​

  • Developed mobile-optimized views for all corporate and regional sales portal pages.
