The Challenge
The need for a more sophisticated process.
Our client struggled with several inefficient and manual processes. They didn't have a streamlined process for mitigating the out-of-stock risk, and no centralized system for providing up-to-date information to all stakeholders. It was extremely tedious to maintain the excel sheet with critical information, and the follow-up process was very manual (with emails and phone calls leading to a delay throughput).
The Solution
Creating efficiencies through Pega.
A solution was envisioned and executed using Pega Case Management to receive and process risk alerts on out-of-stock items, which enabled users to make informed decisions by providing stock availability information. We also created a new metrics dashboard with drill-down reporting options and automated email correspondence.

Together, we streamlined the mitigation process and put necessary approvals in place, creating a seamless flow of information across parties. The new process ensured adherence to processes and quick resolutions, and put an end to manual follow-ups. It also simplified the user journeys–enabling quick adaptability and understanding of tasks. We created configurable email templates that enabled faster communication, and communication alerts that ensured attention to necessary actions.
