Kidder Mathews is the largest independent commercial real estate firm on the West Coast, with over 900 professionals in 20 offices across five states. They offer a complete range of brokerage, appraisal, asset services, consulting, project and construction management, and debt and equity finance services for all property types.

Lynn Cirillo, Kidder Mathew’s executive vice president of corporate operations, had a dream 20 years in the making to create a new software that would allow Kidder Matthews to streamline data processes and improve efficiencies. She reached out to an old, trusted colleague to ask for guidance on a consulting firm that could help. As it turned out, that friend worked at a firm that could do exactly that: Credera.

Kidder did their due diligence though. They went through a vetting process of meeting with several different firms to explain where they wanted to go.

“What I noticed with meeting with these other groups was they really wanted to inflect what they wanted to do,” said Lynn. “In talking with Credera, it was a much more organic experience, where they were able to see the vision I had.”

Bob Johnson, Kidder’s vice president of technology, joined the firm soon after Credera was chosen as the development partner for the project. Bob had his doubts about Credera.

“I wanted to form my own opinions, so I researched Credera to make my own decisions about them. Truly, I realised Credera was the right choice, and the choice I would have made had I been at Kidder Matthews when the decision was made. I had other development partners I had gone with before, but Credera was the clear winner by far.”
