In celebration of Earth Day 2025, Credera hosted Green Week - a series of interactive, educational, and hands-on initiatives that brought sustainability to the forefront of our operations across all four UK offices.
In this blog, we cover the various initiatives undertaken during Green Week to further promote sustainability across the firm.
Learning from sustainability leaders
Green Week kicked off with a lunch and learn session featuring Jade Cohen, co-founder of QualisFlow, who shared insights into sustainability in the construction industry. Jade highlighted the importance of data-led decisions in reducing carbon footprints and improving resource efficiency on building sites - an inspiring reminder that innovation and sustainability go hand-in-hand.
Later in the week, another lunch and learn focused on renewable energy, spotlighting the vital work we are doing in the renewable biomethane space in partnership with a global energy major. The session explored the role biomethane plays in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and how our collaboration is helping pave the way for cleaner energy solutions.
Crafting for a cause
To encourage waste reduction and promote sustainable living, employees across our UK offices took part in a lunchtime activity to make reusable beeswax wraps. This initiative gave everyone a chance to create a reusable alternative to plastic wrap, while sparking conversations about reducing single-use plastics in our daily lives.

Giving back to nature
Green Week culminated in a company-wide CSR Day, where each office stepped out to give back to their local environment:
In London, the team headed to Hampstead Heath for a fourth consecutive year, engaging in fence and hedgerow maintenance, litter picking, and learning about the ecology and management of this iconic green space.
The Newcastle office visited Northumberlandia, where they worked tirelessly to move over ten tonnes of stone to create a new 40m long pathway for visitors - leaving a lasting improvement for the local community.
In Manchester, colleagues teamed up with The Conservation Volunteers to focus on improving unloved areas of Chorlton Water Park - tidying up paths, fencing, benches, and flower beds.
The Leeds office contributed to Elmete Community Orchard, via REAP (Roundhay Environmental Action Plan) by removing self-seeded saplings, mulching apple trees, creating a growing bed inside the orchard, and planting soft fruit plants.

Supporting Renewable World
In keeping with this year’s Earth Day theme of renewable energy, we also launched a fundraiser for Renewable World - a charity dedicated to tackling poverty through renewable energy access. We have set up a donation page and invite everyone to contribute if they can.
Thinking forward
Green Week was more than a celebration - it was a call to action. It brought teams together, sparked important conversations, and allowed us to give back to our communities while reaffirming our commitment to a more sustainable future.
Our hope is that green week sparks momentum for everyday change - not just for Earth Day.
