Transforming a leading HR organization's digital presence

Credera and a leading HR organization partnered to redesign and migrate its multiple web properties, resulting in improved content management, user experience, and global reach.

At a Glance

A leading HR organization sought to create consistency across multiple web properties and enhance the overall experience. To achieve this, Credera’s specialists embarked on a comprehensive redesign and content migration project.

Key activities included content migration planning, component mapping, content authoring, and content migration via scripts. The project also involved training the organization's content editors who were new to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and content management systems (CMS), ensuring a smooth transition and effective content management.

The Challenge

Overcoming fragmented and siloed customer experiences.

The organization faced multiple challenges in creating a cohesive, user-friendly experience across its properties. There was no overarching digital strategy, leading to fragmented and siloed customer experiences. The navigation was confusing, making it difficult for users to find content, and the design was outdated and inconsistent across the sites. In addition, the search experience was inadequate, and the lack of personalization hindered engagement.

The organization also had limited ability to cross-promote content (impacting revenue generation), no centralized website and content governance (which affected consistency and resource management), and a content team that was not familiar with content authoring or AEM. A fragmented ecommerce experience limited agility and market responsiveness, and the mobile experience was inconsistent, affecting content and product purchase access.

The Solution

Leveraging proprietary CMS Bridge solution for seamless content migration.

Credera’s specialists conducted a thorough analysis of the existing pages to identify the best templates and components for populating content. To address the challenge of migrating content from multiple content management systems, we leveraged our proprietary CMS Bridge solution to:

  • Develop scripts to migrate content from SharePoint, Drupal, and WordPress to AEM, ensuring seamless integration and consistency across all platforms.

  • Identify and map components from the legacy systems to AEM, allowing for a structured and organized content migration.

  • Conduct thorough data integrity checks to ensure that all content was accurately migrated and properly formatted in the new CMS.

We then developed a structured authoring training plan for the organization's content editors, creating reference pages and conducting workshops to build their confidence and competence in using AEM.

The Results

Achieved a consistent, user-friendly experience with global impact.

The organization has a consistent, user-friendly experience across its multiple properties and is positioned to better serve its members and visitors with a streamlined, cohesive, and engaging online presence. The content editors are also trained and comfortable with authoring content in AEM, leading to more efficient content management.

By working with us, the organization has realized:

  • Increased page views: Website properties receive an average of 10 million page views per month.

  • Improved search efficiency: More than 170,000 site searches are conducted monthly, demonstrating enhanced content findability.

  • Global reach: The organization's website user experience was enhanced to support its global digital strategy, impacting over 115 million workers and their families and more than 300,000 HR and business executive members in 165 countries.
