Improved quality outcomes by 10X for one of the world’s largest quick-service restaurant (QSR) chains by modernizing how its in-restaurant technology is tested and deployed globally. Credera created a virtualized testing approach, enabling our client to dynamically spin up virtual restaurants in AWS and quickly test new Point-of-Sale (POS) code efficiently, across multiple regional configurations in parallel.

A global quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand needed to quickly improve the speed and quality of software delivery across its restaurant network. Deployments had traditionally taken many months and involved hundreds of defects in both code and configuration. The manual testing on physical restaurant hardware was not scalable for the global restaurant needs.
AWS automated testing solution.
Credera built an automated testing environment in AWS to rapidly test the quality of new builds and configuration changes. The Credera team used Terraform and PowerShell to automate “one push” provisioning and configuration of virtual restaurants using EC2. After tests run and results are captured, the environment is destroyed to save cost.
New, global digital capabilities implemented more quickly.
