At Credera, we believe we’re truly better together. The Roster is a monthly series that allows you to get to know leaders at all levels across the firm.

Favorite App: Strava, a running and cycling app. It helps me stay connected with friends who share a passion for the outdoors, has a super intuitive interface, and is highly motivational.
Now Playing: The Americans, an authentic series about undercover Russian spies during the Cold War. Appeals to my nerdy interest in history.
Favorite Books: Too many to list here, but I’ll give it a shot: To Kill A Mockingbird, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, For Whom the Bell Tolls, the Travis McGee series from John D. MacDonald and anything by Louis L’Amour.
Passions Outside of Work: Spending time outdoors with my family. We love exploring, hiking, cycling, skiing, fishing, and camping.
How You’ve Seen the Core Values Lived Out at Credera: My recent trip to Houston with the Hurricane Harvey Relief team for Credera’s Service Day was a showcase of professional organization, excellence, integrity and humility in motion.
Role Model: My parents (and in-laws!) continue to be role models of a life characterized by faith, sacrifice, caring for others and good humor.
Senior Consultant, Management Consulting
Favorite Sports Team: Although I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, I’ve been going to Dallas Cowboys football games before I could even walk.
Passion Outside of Work: Travel. When I travel I’m plucked from my world and taken to another. It makes you see that your problems are relatively small and insignificant, which lifts away stress and pressure. When you’re hundreds or thousands of miles away from your home and you realize that your problems or stressors don’t matter where you are, it makes you consider why you ever stressed about them in the first place. When I’ve returned from traveling, I’m always reminded of my priorities. This helps me to let go of smaller tribulations and devote myself to what really matters. And now that I’ve let go of what doesn’t matter, I’m able to focus and do my best work.
Now Playing: This is Us. The show is so addicting because I feel invested in their family, and they feel like people I know well. I want them all to succeed! It’s the kind of show that wrecks you first to better rebuild you after. There is always a moral or a good feeling to draw from their story, as tragic as it is.
Client Experience Highlight: When I had the opportunity to fly across the country for 4 months training a medical device sales team on an application that Credera built. It was exciting to see how the app we built improved the reps’ efficiency on a daily basis.
Best Advice You’ve Received: “Everybody wants to be good but not many are prepared to make the sacrifices it takes to be great.” The one common denominator across every successful individual I know can be summed up in a word – grit. Know that challenges will come, doors will close, roads will dead end, but instead of looking at those moments as failure know that you are simply narrowing your focus down a path that will lead to more certain success. Never give up. Pivot, adjust and move forward.
Marketing Manager, Corporate
Favorite App: I’ve really enjoyed using Personal Capital as a tool to help with financial planning and analysis. It’s simple to use, provides a holistic snapshot of your overall financial position, and generates recommendations on investment allocation, risk & return, retirement goals, budgeting, etc. Oh, and it’s free.
Passions Outside of Work: I enjoy quality time and traveling with family and friends, photography, any type of sport, serving with my church in East Dallas, and learning about social enterprises.
Office Music Playlist: I enjoy a lot of different genres of music, but for the office, I usually stick with instrumental and ambient. For example, here are a few tracks I’ve enjoyed by Tom Misch, El Ten Eleven, Joey Pecoraro, L’Indécis, and Tycho.
Personal Values: In their simplest form – to love others well, work hard at everything, and remain grateful always.
Favorite Credera Memory: My favorite memory is the entire experience of our company trip last year in Laguna Beach. I had only been at Credera for a few weeks at that point, but I was still fortunate enough to be invited on the trip by the planning committee. The entire trip I was reminded of why I chose to work at Credera in the first place: to have the opportunity to work with a group of extremely talented and joyful people in a workplace defined by servant leadership, authenticity, and encouragement.
Role Model: My parents have had the biggest influence in my life, teaching me the value and importance of hard work, service, and faith.
