“Andrew is a great addition to our Partner team,” says Justin Bell, CEO of Credera. “During his 9 years with Credera, he has demonstrated a great ability to connect with clients and help them achieve their vision in Customer Experience, Data and Analytics, and other strategic technology initiatives. Andrew is kind, thoughtful, and a great representation of Credera’s core values. We’re very excited to have him on the Partner team.”

Andrew joined the firm in 2010 and has been the leader of our Data & Analytics practice through 2019. With 20+ years of analytics consulting experience in various industries, he specializes in data strategy, customer intelligence, CX, and enabling business capabilities through data-driven innovative solutions. Andrew is a member of the People & Culture Executive Committee where his passion comes to life investing in the careers of the next generation of leaders. Additionally, Andrew serves as the Executive Sponsor of Credera’s Data & Analytics Strategic Forum.

Before joining Credera, Andrew was a Partner with Hyde Park Partners, a boutique management and technology consultancy, where he focused on financial performance management applications for Fortune 1000 companies. He is a Dallas-native and graduated from SMU receiving his B.S. in Management Science and B.S. in Mathematics.

Andrew’s passions outside of the office include his wife and three children, listening to music, backyard BBQ, residential architecture, rowing, cycling, and following the SMU Mustangs.

We sat down with Andrew to learn more about his journey to Credera:

What led to your decision to join Credera?

My decision to join Credera hinged on one specific thing—find a place that would invest in me professionally so I could continue to grow in my craft. In my previous two roles before Credera, I had been an owner and a top leader, but I realized at some point that I would benefit more from having leaders around me who could invest in my growth. When I interviewed with Credera, my goal was to understand how I could learn from the current leadership. In each interaction, I searched for that person’s unique experience, background, and traits and then tried to imagine how that could apply to my journey and career. Credera has definitely provided the growth and community I was looking for!

How would you describe your approach to leadership?

Growing up, my grandfather was a farmer in Colorado, and he taught me volumes about leadership without ever talking about it. Somehow when I was with him, I always found myself in a learning situation that stretched me, made me uncomfortable, and made me realize that success comes with perseverance. His actions taught me that you grow the most through experiences. Because of this, I love immersing myself into the personalized growth of the people on my teams. It truly is one of my favorite parts of being a leader.

I believe the best leaders set a strong vision, put trust in others, allow teammates to have plenty of room to run, encourage collaboration, and provide a safe environment to fail in order to help them succeed.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in your career so far?

Lots of things came to mind on this one—not sure if that means I’ve learned a lot or had a lot to learn. Probably both.

The first lesson that came to mind is to be open to new ideas. At some point you realize it’s not really about what you know as much as it’s about how you encourage your team’s ideas to surface and work together to prioritize the best ideas from there. It’s a freeing moment in your career when you finally become comfortable with your experiences and accept that you don’t have to know it all. Realizing it’s about the collective more than the individual has been incredibly impactful for me.

What are you most excited about now that you’re a part of the Credera partner team?

Credera is in a great place in the lifecycle of a company—we’re growing, we’re healthy, and there are endless opportunities ahead of us.

I’ve been at Credera for nine years and during my tenure, I’ve been in the practice lead, project lead, and client lead roles. Now as a partner, I’m taking on a slightly broader view of the company. I’m excited to work across several of our practices, leading a couple of our larger clients, and helping us grow within the Omnicom umbrella. I’ve loved where I have been, and I love where we are headed!
